CHASS17: The Chameleon SS17 is a standalone stainless steel whip made of 10 sections which extend to 5.18 meter and collapses to 69 cm. The whip can easily operate a full quarter wave from 6M through 20M with manual adjustment without the need of a loading coil. It can also be combined with the Chameleon Hybrid Micro or Hybrid Mini to create a multi-band vertical usable from 80-6m when tuned with an internal and external tuner.
If combined to the Chameleon MIL EXT 2.0 (2.68 meter long), a 7.86 meter long vertical antenna can be created for increased efficiency on 40m and 80m bands. We also recommend the Chameleon CAP HAT for higher efficiency through increased capacitive loading. The SS17 is a rust resistant vertical whip equipped with a standard 3/8-24 base mounting.
