CMF2000B: The CHOKE BALUN is a line isolator, that is a useful filter to limit or even eliminate the noise caused by nearby devices: televisions, radios, computers, etc.
\nIt is also useful during the transmission periods to stop the return currents (CMC = Common Mode Currents) that flow on the external part of the coaxial cable.
\nThe CHOKE BALUN can be placed under the antenna, regardless of the model, between a voltage balun and the coaxial cable, or between the antenna connector and the coaxial cable if there’s no balun.
\nIt can also be placed in a radio station, between antenna cable and transceiver, to improve isolation. It can also be useful to break the “ground loops”, placing one between the radio and any amplifier.<\/p>\n
The “Common Mode” filter acts on the currents that travel on the external part of the coaxial cable sheath during the transmission periods, something against which the “Low-Pass” filters are ineffective.
\nThe union of a line \/ choke isolator and a low-pass filter (for example our HSP 35\/600) can be successful for eliminating TVI phenomena.
\nIt can also be very useful in mobile installation to avoid annoying R.F. feedback from antennas with grounding problems.
\nThe Diamond CMF-2000B is a common mode filter that will prevent TVI and EMI CEM interference, caused by the transmission coaxial cable.<\/p>\n
NOTE: This low pass filter eliminates harmonic frequencies outside the 1-54 Mhz band.<\/p>\n
